This dress was created as a project to repurpose old curtains. I was inspired by the floral details in the fabric to create a flow and elegant dress. I self drafted the pattern and this also was the first of three different dresses modifying the same pattern to experiment with different techniques and expand my sewing skills. The dress is fully lined in the bodice as well as the skirt, and I experimented using the button hole stitch on my sewing machine to create the lace up detail in the back.
