This was the second dress design I made experimenting with modifying my self drafted pattern. I used black cotton fabric as well as white cotton fabric from an old bedsheet as my fabric for this dress. In this design I experimented with adding a shorter length skirt while still creating the gathered and tiered effect in the skirt. I also tried adding boning in a bodice for the first time as well using ties for the straps to make them adjustable.
